Back in 2004, we were asked to be the backing band for Damo Suzuki for a show at Loppen and since we all love Can we agreed immediately. The concert was part of his The Damo Suzuki Network tour, where he would play a completely improvised set with local act.

In Bleeder we’ve always been a group that practice a lot, so we soon began to jam over different motoric grooves in our rehearsal – sort of Can’ish sounding. But on the day of the show, we finally met the lovely Damo and of course he didn’t want to do a show that sounded anything like what he’d done before – it's got to be in the now. I jump and you play was his only M.O. We’re a lot of people in Bleeder, so anything could happen in the name of improvisation and it probably did, but I don’t really remember that much and the 3 hours we played together went by in a flash. It was a true rite of passage.

One last thing, I seem to recall that all the members in Bleeder had grown a full beard at that point, I'm not sure why but I guess it added to this new group persona...
